Man these things are big! Still have some minor triming to do. Hit the Pinch weld, and took off the bottom half of the bumper in prepartion of the new shoes, but I have to take about 1 more inch off the inside of the wheel well liner to stop rubbing in reverse at lock. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That first shot looks good, really makes it look high! So how much heighth do you think youve gained with the lift and tires? Like the black centers on the wheels also. Notice much power loss on the road at all? no more questions now................ ![]() Tom |

Notice much power loss on the road at all? no more questions now................ ![]() Tom Tom thanks, I'm happy with them, I was originally looking at the AR ATX Mojave's, but for $90 a rim I couldn't turn these down. My original pre-lifted height was 32" from ground through the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flare. I'm now at 37 3/4" same measurement. So 5 3/4" from the Frankenlift and Tires (no clevis lift). As for performance gains and losses. I'm coming off of a set of Moabs and 245/75 MT/R's, In my 100 mile commute today, there definitely was an increase in MPG from looking at the gas gauge. I'll know and post a new average next week after a have 2 tanks run though. She definitely brakes and accelerates better against the MT/R's too. Partly since the new A/T's are only 6 ply vice the extra weight of those 10 ply wranglers. Pote, Tomorrow when I have some light, I'll snap an up close shot of the front drive-line. As far as being tall, yeah it's nice sitting higher than a Kia now. J/K, I did sit in traffic next to 4x4 FJ, I was definitely higher with more ground clearance. Felt good. Didn't post it earlier, but the rims are 4.5" backspacing, which pushes the tire out a little bit, but I don't think it looks to bad. All and all real happy. |

I'm within an 1/8" at all four corners. Nearly everyone that I've heard of that has gotten a frankenlift has netted more than the advertised 2.5" lift. I did before and after measurements the day I put the lift on. I originally received 5" of lift, it's settled since then of course. I'm scared what the cleis lift would do to my angles! This thing really is tall now, going to snap a pic tomorrow with me standing next to it for reference to it's new height. |

I loved the look of the MT/R's but I absolutely hated the noise. These A/T's are so much quiter, it was pleasent driving to work today. With the window down, I could still hear some hum from the side lugs, but not as bad or rough as the MT's. With the new set up I shaved nearly 5 pounds at each corner too, 20 lbs total of unsprung weight. Which equates to putting the KJ on nearly an 80 pound diet. |

2006 KJ, do you have a link to a few pics of your front bumper trimming. I've got the same bumper & have been thinking about doing more trimming for a while but want to see more shots first. CD |
