I bought this Limited Shale Green to match my '03 Rubicon. I built it very similar to the TJ. I cut-up and fabbed an ARB bumper to take a 9.5ti winch, and added D ring tabs. Line-x to the bumper, and a Rusty's 2.5" lift with 265 MTRs. Only 52K miles....and I'm selling it :(

I really enjoyed this site, and picked up a great deal of info. for my build. It sure made it alot easier in making all my decisions. Thanks LOST members!

That is probably the nicest looking KJ I have seen. Looks awesome.

man, nice ride...how much are you getting for it??? I always admire the Goodyear MT/Rs....those things are mean looking on those rims...very nice. love the bumper/winch fab...you did a great job. That's got to be a hard one to let go.

Thanks for the compliments...that's another thing that I found special about this site...most everyone is friendly, and not too uptight. Makes it nice to meet more folks like that!

Quite honestly...I hate to sell, and my driveway tells the story! But, I have found an Unlimited Rubicon Sahara edition that I really wanted, and my little girls enjoy the "open-air" feeling of the wranglers...and the LJ gives our family more room to carry camping gear and make excursions...top down.

I sure have gotten alot of compliments on the KJ though. I did like most of you...looked at tons of pics, and determined how I wanted mine to look. I LOVE green, and had the opportunity to have 2 Shale Green Jeeps....and it was fun to try and make it look "factory"....as if it "could have been" a Rubicon edition Liberty. I've always enjoyed "resto-mod" cars....make them look factory, but with a subtle change.

I took the ARB bumper, and cut it up...and drew up what I wanted...and had a good friend cut and bend the new 1-piece base plate to mount the winch on. I cut a pipe and made the left side recess to clear the winch case. I did all the welding and fab work....made the tabs for the D-rings, mounted the lights, and had it Line-X'd. I was really pleased with how it turned out. I like the fact that the Winch sits up top now and not inside the bumper. Looks a little more CJ/TJ ish I guess....just the way my eye saw it I guess.

The '03 wheels hurt!...$320 ea.....because of the machined face. The '04s were MUCH cheaper, but I was going for the look I wanted...and you know how that goes sometime!

It has 52K miles, and is in Exceptional condition. I'm listing it on E-Bay at a Buy it Now of $17,900 or so...including all the mods except the black rope...I have to reinstall the original cable and roller fairlead. If it doesn't sell, I may part it out...putting the original bumper facia back on, and selling the ARB and possibly the Moab rims. I'm hoping someone will be serious enough to buy it or want it without the Winch, lights, and or wheels....cause I can make allowances for those things. Wish me luck...and thanks again for the compliments! I love to talk Jeeps! lol

imajeepnut, do us a favor if you can, take a pic of the kj or both of them, that could be used as a desktop pic. They are both awesome rigs and would look real nice on my computer

That sure is a great KJ. Great job on it, and I really love the bumper. Too bad you have to sell it, but you should get a good price for something that nice.

Thanks again for the compliments....it's nice that my peers appreciate my long hours of labor!! lol

I'll post some more pics...let me find the good ones and I'll get them up. Just go ahead and buy the Jeep and you can put it in your Garage....and take pictures anytime you want!!! :) That would make us both happy!!

I'm not sure they are wallpaper worthy, but you are welcome to them. I have to swap out my KJ winch rope and fairlead to the TJ and vice versa....that's why the front bumper on the TJ has no fairlead in those pics. I'm planning to take more fall pics with the TJ and KJ maybe this weekend. I posted a couple on the Rig of the Month for November. If I get any better ones, I'll post them here. Sorry there is so much text in this post...I know the rules say rigs with no text, but I enjoy the conversations.....thanks.
Jeff

It should be visible on E-Bay by now...... Someone, other than me, try and find it and let me know please. When I listed it, it showed Wranger:limited. So, I went back thru the steps and tried it again, and it AGAIN showed Wrangler:limited...I have no idea why though. I hope its not truely in a Wrangler category....because I picked Liberty every time.
