Now this guy has heart! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CUSTOM-ONE-OF-A-KIND-COMMEMORATIVE-9-11-JEEP-LIBERTY_W0QQitemZ4585166340QQcategoryZ43916QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting I didn't mean to start anything. I just thought it was great that someone in this nation had that much pride. Now I don't know if the owner of this vehicle was a victum or involved I just thought the truck was really cool. I personally didn't know anyone that was personally affected that was close to me. But friends of mine did. For that reason I volunteered and almost threw my senior year of high school away, but I didn't care, I went to New York with my local fire departement (that three days before I had just started to volunteer with) to help clean up. After seeing what people can do to hurt a strong nation, I joined the United States Air Force. For the purpose of freedom and thats the only reason. Every day you hear people in the military complain about this and that and they wish they had it better or its not enough money blah I say to them and just look back at how lucky I am personally. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that my nation is safe and to the other people on here that are or where in the military I am sure that they feel the same way. THats the reason they are in the military to defend this nation from harms way. To all the people in the nation that where effected by this terrible happening. My prayers and heart are with you. Sorry this is my first and last rant (for a while) ~JUD ![]() |

That's awesome, but I would never want to off-road with it and would miss out on having fun with the KJ. |

The hood decal is interesting ... an eagle grabbing both arrows and (olive?) branch? The arrow is pointing to the right, opposite direction to where the eagle is heading ... does that mean the arrows signify incoming threats and the olive branch the response? Or does it mean the eagle carries with it both the forceful threat and olive branch? |

It's a variation of the Great Seal. Read here for details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Seal ... ted_States |

I think it would be perfectly fitting to wheel that thing. Someone should buy it, lift it and wheel it. Freedom baby, that eagle isn't gonna be mad if he gets a bit dirty. |

I dunno... Not to be a skeptic but I've never heard anything about a commerative produced by DC. I'd definately wanna see the history sheet on this thing and check into it before buying. Looks nice though. Sidetrack: Somewhat unpopular (to some) statement follows - not intented to start a flame war - To go off on another pet peeve of mine: People who slap 9/11 and other "Never Forget" decals on thier cars, trucks, etc just to "jump on the bandwagon" without really thinking about the whole reason behind them. Maybe I'm cynical, but as a New Yorker I watched everything happen first hand, and I don't mean on TV. I've been other places in the country and I've seen people who were thousands of miles away act like this tragedy affected them personally. Yet when u ask them if they gave anything to the relief effort or knew anyone involved or even sat riveted to thier tv for 24 hours they look at you like u have 2 heads. I'm not saying everyone out there should be severly traumatized by 9/11, just that if u weren't, don't act like it while you're slapping the "Never Forget" decal on your car so u don't get a speeding ticket and not doing anything else. ![]() And before you ask what gives me the right to make this statement, Some history: My brother had a job interview at the Trade Center that morning and actually saw the towers come down as he was driving to the site. We knew he was there and there was some panicked time before we heard from him. My GF works a few blocks away and was at work when the plane hit and on the phone with me when the 2nd plane hit and subsequently when the towers came down. I lost contact with her for several hours as phone service was spotty. I was scheduled for a job interview with the Discovery Channel the next day which was cancelled because the District Manager who was gonna interview me was on the plane which went down in PA. Oh, by the way, I now work for the Dept of Homeland Security. Hired in Sep 02. Thanks for letting me rant...... ![]() |

I hear you all the way man....sorry..thread jack warning. I grew up in Boston, my dad was part of running all units at Logan, where 2 planes took off from. I lost 3 friends in the towers, and 2 of my teachers were on plane number 2. It was a sad day for a this nation. I will say one thing.....people always want to be attached to terrible news and death. Everybody always new the diseased, and they were all that persons best friend. Joe |
