Where do you reccomend I some? Where would it be real cheap?

And if anyopne installs some in the near future please do a write-up!

will not ruin the electronics, have had mine done a couple of years now and no problems, you get the engine wet driving down the road.
Not hard to do no write up needed, I didn't need one

Well you're the kind of guy who makes the write ups. Haha. Not utilizes them.

Now go buy a new hood and some louvers and install them and do a write up on it.
And when you're done send the hood to me.
Make sure its black and fits an '02 as well.

:D

they are pretty easy, just tape everything off and measure atleast twice and then cut away, I have done mine awhile ago and Ive not had any problems with them at all, I got them for Gen Right, very nice product! and inexpensive only $50, mine are silver but they also come in black a couple different styles.

Maybe at a future m&g, we can cut our hoods. I still need to install the GTP louvers I bought.

keep watching ebay for the 5 slot Pontiac ones , I grabbed mine for a great deal , kept looking for 6 months but finally, work great, look like something that would come stock ( well they did I know on a Pontiac GTP)

may try places that deal in boats as well they have several louvers that work as well

Yeah there was a set on ebay that just sold today. I watched the auction just to see what they went for. These louvers however needed some repair work as a couple of the fiberglass vents on one louver were badly chipped.

I got mine from someone on craigslist.

and as well watch for ones that have all of the mounting points still intact. You can glue them on but its nice just to bolt as well,( mine are screwed and glued) some you find will have the drip trays which you don't need either if they are trying to sell you on that point.

Yeah I received the drip trays with mine but don't plan to use them. The mint set I got was originally red, so I am having a guy I know who is a wizard with a spray gun paint them black (wrinkle finish).

I just checked ebay and craigslist and found nothing.
I found a few but no mounting points. they're all either weld in ones or stick on ones.

I would get the weld in ones but i don't want to be welding on my hood and have to repaint it.
And anyways, I still haven't learned to tig and I don't want to mig on my hood.

i would rather buy a whole new hood with a scoop on it than to hassle with that, repaint, weld, ugh...but if you can do that for minimal $$$, then there is the possibility to do it

Well I have access to a TIOG welder and a very skilled tig welder that i could have to it for free. a sand blaster i could use for free.
but that paint is what would cost.
