Post subject:  POST your JBA 4" or 6"

I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread started with all the rides that have a JBA lift so we can look at all of them in one spot! 8)

So post up.

TokyoJoe's KJ with the 4" JBA and 245/75 MT/R's(nearly bald) and my KJ with the SkyJacker 2 1/2" lift with 265/75 Trxus MT's(1/3 tread left).

We should be even now since TokyoJoe put on some 265/75 Maxxis BigHorns.

it happened with extra iso's and clevis lift,, not mentioned. and larger tires. the jba is a straight 4 coil lift with no extra help.

stock, OME, rustys, franken lift, JBA 4", JBA 6"

That would be even better. :D

That tires on troys along with the extra lift from the iso's and clevis make up the difference. Also, I got around 3" of lift from my OME lift on the rear and rustys springs on the front. The lifts for the libertys seem to be all over the place so its hard to tell which lift gives what amount of lift. From what I remember, the sky jacker lift gave more than 2.5in of lift back when people used it some. Ive never had one so idk for sure.

The front struts on the JBA 4" lift are identical to the ones that came with my lift,I scrapped the SkyJacker struts in favor of Rancho's,and yes the JBA 4" lift(front) is just bassically a clevis lift, the bottom strut plate(the one that goes into the clevis) is lengthened to get the extra lift and has added top strut plates that can be added, not a true coil only lift, the rear is(but you have stated you added extra rear isolators yourself).

Yes I do have a 3/8" clevis lift, put it on after I added over 250lbs of front wieght on my KJ(ARB w/winch and HD skid plate) which sagged my front by about 1/4"-3/8".That is a extra 3/4" of lift on top of the 3+ inches of lift my SkyJacker lift already gave me,and remember my KJ is 5500lbs and I have about 55,000miles on my lift. And I do also have 2 extra rear isolators to gain back the inch of lift I lost after putting 1000lbs of weight on the rear of my KJ.If I took off all the extra added wieght and removed the 3/8" clevis lift and extra rear isolators I would still sit the same height, the same height it was when I put the lift on back in april of '04,which is 3 3/4" of lift right off the bat from the "pre-soft ride coils".

i'll stick with the frankenlift.. instant bolt in 3-4 inches of lift

ANYWAY.. back to the real reason for this posting.. great looking jeeps! i know i say this all the time but i will never get tired of seeing black KJ's especially with red suspension parts and big lifts :).. looking forward to some 6inch pictures

What??? Am i missing something? The site lists the Franky as a 2.5" lift. How are you saying 3-4" of lift? I thought anything more than 3" caused CV binding in the front end is that wrong? Man so many people say so many different things. There needs to be a LIST of LISTS that says what is needed for every inch of lift and where the big changes come in. Like axle replacments and carrier lowering.
