Because that is how it was set up in The Rules:

Quote:
We will give everyone 2 weeks (the first 14 days of the month) to submit your entry. On the 15th, we will end submissions and start a voting poll in a separate thread (If we get the limit of 10 rigs before the 14th, I`ll start it sooner). We then have the last 2+ weeks (to the last day of the month) for everyone to vote. On the 1st of each month, the winner will be announced!.

BTW I didn't make the rules, and since I got the contest started late this month I gave everyone the full 15 days to get their pics entered. On the plus side, he has some way cool pics to enter next time around :D

I agree 100% I'm thinking of joining the ARB club myself; especially knowing that the TR bumper starts at $1000

Nice pictures Hood. I want to come join you for some pictures like that.
I agree that your KJ is one of the nicest ones.

To bad it is illegal to ride on the beach!
Doh! Did I just tell on you?!(-:

Back when I had a wrangler I got to drive on Gulf Shores beaches
quite a bit, but I was a life guard at the time and my drives were after
a call to the police station.

sweet jeep but try to stay off the dunes and beach grass next time you're out there. it takes years for that beach grass to take root and only one wheel to ruin it. That grass keeps the sand dunes in place so big storms don't roll right over them. I wouldn't have known had someone not told me years ago, maybe this is the first you're hearing it too.

oh no, i ve heard it many times. those places are right near my house. After Ivan in 2004 we lost all roads going back to my place. the dunes were obviously gone too. I was part of the beach renewal project, so i am privy to the benefit of the sea oats, and also the delicate ecosystem of the beach mice.

The areas I was on was a service road for the police to patrol the beach, so no harm done to the environment.
