So here we are... finished another trip to the San Juan Mountains, met up with Jacksjeep, and had a great time running a few trails.

The weather sprinkled a bit but, for the most part, was gorgeous.

Jacksjeep showed up with a built JK Rubi on 35's

Some gorgeous remote gulches

Into the clouds we went up Hurricane Pass

En route we passed a sheepdog who was making SURE we didn't mess with his sheep.

The view of Lake Como and Poughkeepsie from the top

More from Animas Forks Ghost Town

Not a bad view...

Then it was back to Silverton for some lounging by our campsite...

I'll post up Day 2 after I grout some tile in the kitchen... stay tuned

#1 I didn't realize people still used sheep dogs for sheep anymore

#2 WTF did that trail marker used to be? Looks like someone got hurt.

Nice artsy pics

omGoddard: Nothing fancy, just good glass.

JL: The trail marker was a little S10 or Toyota from the looks... nobody survived that tumble

htkrph: forgot my filters that day, just some RAW processing

No doubt these are awesome shots but some of these wouldn't be possible not using HDR or some heavy image manipulation. Plus you can still see the artifacts in some of them.

Great shots though bud!

I never said anything about "heavy image manipulation"

They just aren't HDR shots.
