245/75/16 Maxxis Buckshot Mudders on 16X7 Cragar Soft8 steelies.

My diesel loves turning these things. Merchants balanced them up really well. No wobble, just a little more lane waver due to the MT style. All in all...very happy. My neighbors...not so happy. I put them on the truck at 11PM last night after we got back from a work function.

The current lift is the 1.5/2 Daystar spacer lift. I have a Frankenlift sitting in the garage. Just need to find a weekend to put the dang thing on!! It'll look even better after I put that on.

Thanks for the compliments...and thanks for the setup Modular. They are AWESOME!! I think the color/combo goes well with the dark khaki too. 8) This is the first set of black rims I've ever had and MAN they look great. Each time I walk up to the truck I just marvel at how much better it looks. As I was putting them on last night, my wife walked out, walked around the Jeep, and said, "Wow! That really makes a big difference!"

Fulltimer, DryBones, and I are all headed in the same direction with our Dark Khakis. Maybe DryBones will pick a different rim.

I love the Moabs as well. I wouldn't mind going with those. Might do that at some point. But the Cragars were SOOO much cheaper!

For some reason, my thread posted twice. qbracken posted in the other thread, which I am trying to get deleted. Regardless, he said...

Very nice! Any rubbing? How's the road noise and MPG now?

Road noise is wonderfully louder than stock and louder than the BFG A/Ts that I just took off. Nice hum that oscilates with the road imperfections. I love it! 8)

There is a good amount of rubbing near full turn. I am letting it rub just a bit today so I can find the marks and where everything is hitting. I have done no modification to the wheel wells (other than the lift, which technically increased the space in the wheel well). Anyway, I will most likely remove the entire fender-well liners. Then I will decide on pounding down the pinch-weld or not.

MPG...don't know yet. Just put them on last night. Truck still has good giddy-up though. I'll have better MPG ideas after next week. We're heading off on a road-trip vacation tomorrow, so I should have some nice picts with my real camera.

no Cragers for me. I want my TPMS to work. AEV Bridgers or I amy even stay with my stock 17's with bigger rubber if and when I ever get lifted.

That looks great dog_party! Thanks for posting this, I was wondering how Soft 8s would look with Dark Khaki. I wanted to go the same route after I get the Frankenlift but I was not sure until now. I hope you have a great vacation.
