That reminds me...., almost 20 years ago, i helped a friend with such a "project". We took the mufflers off of his 73 Duster, drilled a hole in each, then soaked them in kerosene for a couple days. Afterwards we put a sparkplug in each and put them back onto the exhaust system, then carefully wired the sparkplugs to a homemade electrical system (you probably see where this is going). We took his duster to Seaside Heights, NJ to demonstrate this setup. We hit the "strip", cruised for a bit, then lit the "flamethrowers", in front of hundreds of rowdy teens/twentysomethings and a couple of local cops (oops). Lets just say it took us 19 minutes and 38 seconds to make the trip back to Mt Holly, a trip that normally takes an hour. The Flamethrower incident was talked about in Seaside for years after. |

That thing launches like crap...i heard you had a 10 second 60' time! BUT when I go to a 8 inch tailpipe off the Peterbilt I should be in the 11.50s or so with a 11 second 60 foot time |

Back in 1992 I worked on a Mustang that had dual exhaust pipes from a Perterbuilt complete with flappers on top! Crazy kids. I have the pick around somewhere, but this was pre digital cameras. |
