Argument over! ball joint has nothing to do with spacers, give me a break. Any lift will put added stress on the ball joints. dropping that arm and increased angle on the joint. Arugment over!! |

OK since you know it all no more but just follow along and see what happens. The guy I got my ARB from thought the same thing, OTT lift, and then one UBJ went, replaced it and 3 days later the other, he gave up thinking there was no way to safely lift the Liberty. MINE...70,000 on the stock UCAs with the OME lift and they are still tight, have them if you would like to see them. No arguments to it, if an OTT is the best lift out there, wonder why so few run it? Lots of people have a thousands of miles with OMEs and Frankenlifts and still running the stock UCAs OH well like talking to a deaf horse, |

I got 7,000 miles (1 year), I know I don't drive much, on my OME Mediums and Ranchos. No blown struts, factory BJ's (except the bottoms, recalled), factory arms. Everything works great, no complaints. |

i replaced my struts when i did the lift with kyb gas struts... as for the ball joints i also replaced them when i did the lift just to be safe cuz i bought the jeep used and didnt want to take any chances.(every since i totaled my 350hp saab @60mph due to faulty ball joints) and the front end has been fine with 45k on the lift. and just for the record i started this post so i can show off my ride cuz i finally got pics of it....not so an argument can be started over why one lift is better than the other...and not for nothing when it comes ti libertys unless you have a sfa its not the lift its the driver.... |

Hey man your jeep looks great, sorry to start a rant on your thread. The OTT deal has been an ongoing saga here on Lost. I have 30k on mine and not one issue. I even off road a few times a year, nothing too crazy but I have compressed my struts many times and have heard them knock on the bumpstop. You would think that would have blown it but no, proper bumpstops have kept my struts alive. Also I run Als upper a arms, so no problems. I recommend those to anybody lifting because the oem joints are not good quality...period. |
