Andru, get one of those K&N socks to put over the filter. I wish I had put one on mine. It always gets full of bugs, leaves, debris etc... I live out in the country though so it may not be as big of a problem for you. |

Regarding the leaf mods: The first picture was taken a few weeks before the second picture. I got about half way through the install when I realized a couple of parts needed for the install were missing. So I had to reinstall the original air box and wait for K&N to ship the missing parts. By then, one of the leaf mods had begun rattling against the windshield a little too much so I decided to go with the no-leaf look. Good idea on the air filter sock cover, I'll have to get one of those. |

just wondering.....where do you get those socks from pictures would be appreciated also. I can not picture myself going to an auto parts place and ask for a pair of socks for my car.....just too weird |

Post subject: | Shanked |
I hope you fella's ain't spending over $45 bucks on that project. You are getting shanked if you do! And it don't flow as much air as the "poorman's". http://www.thefergusons.us/kj/kj.htm You are also risking moisture, losing hiway ram-air, and having to always clean the thing. All for a nothing gain! |
