I wish it sat lower. Too high for my taste and is it farther apart at the top than the bottom, from rail to rail?

Oh and what diff cover do you have on there, is it red?

couldn't sit much lower, hardly get my hand under it the way it is. top is lower than what my old rack was , and I had it mounted two/three inches lower than most

If I ever design another rack I'm gonna make it sit almost flush against my roof. My old one was too high as well.

that's a sweet setup. How high above the roof do the rails extend?

top of the side rails is 6 inches
bottom of the rails in the middle of the top is only like 1/2 inch off the roof
my old rack which was 4 inches deep sat 7 inches from the roof to the top so I have gained an inch,
think that means I can go up another inch of lift and still get in the garage

Shipping weight was 60 lbs and Martys just had cardboard and tape over the feet so not much extra there so its pretty much 60 lbs. VERY well built
His welds are perfect, great fabrication
