Post subject:  Down Home Southeastern Ohio

Went down home this weekend to help do some things for my parents, check on my chunk of land and also uncover my summer camping spot. I built a cover over the motorhome last year in a nice quiet location, so got it about ready for some relaxing evenings with a nice fire going.

I'm jealous Tom, looks nice and remote. I need to get away this Spring and find some solitude.

some good farm ponds, one which my Grandfather and I built when I was 12, first time I got to use high powered explosives  and I did all of the dozer work. State park about 6 miles away, used to work there in the summers, so know the back ways in and where you are not allowed to be

How many acres? What part of SE Ohio? I'd love to find 100 acres in SE Ohio to buy down the road.

Monroe County, 45 miles north Of Marietta, south of Wheeling WV. middle of no where, nearest Walmart, Lowes, KMart or any big box store is 50 miles, 10 miles to the nearest fast food.
I have 3 tracks 15, 21 and 80 acres, all within 5 miles of each other, wish they were connected though. All are leased to an area farmer to keep the land built up.
Great area to retire, so nice, quiet, and relaxing

Some of it maybe for sale very soon Tokyojoe!! 90 miles to Athens and the Bobcats
