no, the guts should be fin. The shaft is going to be made of softer metal than the carrier. It may be fun to get it out thought |

I don't even want to think about taking it out! The drivers side seal was bad enough! |

the seal shouldn't be that big of a deal,a good hooked seal puller should do the trick, but to remove the bearing and shaft |

The one with the ome hd's and the extra mudd lift looks massive compared to the franky. What does the extra mudd lift consist of, if you dont mind me asking. Any cv angle issues that you know of with that one? Thanks |

Lift consists of parts only available in one small remote village in Tanzania, have to walk for three days and 5 nights to reach the area. Not any problems so far only had it this way for 3/4000 miles now, only raised it another 3/4 of an inch from where I had it for 75,000 plus miles, springs are starting to sag ( yes OMEs do sag a little after 4 years and bunches of miles With brand new OME CRDs think where it would be OK now back to Chris' problem |

Yep Tom's KJ is Soooo much taller! Not according to SOME measurments! Anyway: For now... I'm looking at replacing the whole axle assembly with one from a lower mileage vehicle.... It will probably be better, easier, and cheaper in the long run, in theory... Since my diff has 143,000.. and has been off road.... and a new axle shaft is 130 + tax, plus seals, and bearings.... I found an entire axle assembly and housing... waiting on a price quote and mileage info... TO BE CONTINUED!!!! |
