My KK really impressed on this trail run. I've been in some rough spots and this was the roughest and it made it though everything with out a hiccup.

Yeah a snorkel would have been nice but I don't believe they make a kit for the KK yet. Also I'm not too wild about the look of them. I had no idea that we were going to be getting into water that deep.

+1

ThunderbirdJunkie has killed a couple engines from water ingestion...figured...the KJ's 3.7 is more expensive to replace than an AMC 304 or a GM 2.8 or a Mitsu 6G72 3.0...sooooooo

This was the deepest water I ever got into. I didn't really realize how deep it was until I got into it. If I would have known I probably wouldn't have gone though. Lucky for me I made it with no issues. Water crossing isn't my thing ... I like hill climbs and muddy trails. I won't need a snorkel for any of that. Also once I get my lift on I'll be more then OK for any water crossings I come about. If I can make though all that without a lift, I'll be set once I get my lift.

You will ruin it well before the water gets close to the inlet of a snorkel unless you do the full deep water fording kit which is very expensive.

ThunderbirdJunkie has a snorkel to prevent engine damage in case he does something stupid, not to do ridiculously long water crossings. Mostly it's $400 to avoid spending $3000 or more

If I got a snorkle it would not be for the ability to cross deeper water holes due to like TJKJ said lots of other things to consider, but I would get one just for the cleaner air on dusty back roads etc.

Saw a ton of them on all kinds of vehicles in Tanzania and its darn dry there most of the time so I know they don't need it for the water fording abilities!

I think every government vehicle has one there

ThunderbirdJunkie doesn't really care if you get one. He stated his reasons for having one (aside from the fact that it looks BADASS, and all the ladies will love you long time), and he is not twisting anybody's arm to get one.
