Anyone have these on their Hella 500's? They come in yellow, blue, smoke, and clear. I want to see pics of what they look like on the liberty and if they change the color of the light.

I just got the yellow color shieldz in on Monday. I think they look good, the film is thick enough to protect from damage. The light output is about the same, maybe a little less than before and with a slight tint of yellow. Ill get some night shots up when I get a chance...

They look good! I can't decide which color I would want. I'm leaning towards the blue so I can get that blue light at night.

Are blue lights legal to run at night? Thinking thats more for a cop

I don't think its a cop blue.
Its more of like a slight blue tint.

Here in NY red lights (police lights) are illegal. Blue lights are no problem. People use blue bulbs in their headlights. I have the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs and they have a very slight blue tint. I think the blue Shieldz would complement them very well.

if anyone has the smoke post a pic. ive been wanting to try it but figured it would defeat the purpose of having brighter lights since i figured it would actually dim the light some. jw how much it would decrease the light output.

i know here in IL, anything over 6000k HID lights are Illegal due to the brightness and the amount of light they give off (which is usually blue when its 8000k or 10000k)

They have an adhesive on them but you apply them similar to the way you put tint on. They say that they are easily removable and won't leave a residue. The light isn't really any dimmer with the yellow...I chose yellow hoping I would be able to use the lights more often without blinding other drivers. You can cut them to fit any light out there very easily...

I finally ordered a set of the free form fog lights with the blue shieldz today. I'll post some pics after I install them. Anyone ever seen or heard of the free form lights and how do they compare with Hella 500's?
