Earlier this summer my family rented a cabin at Brian Head Ski Resort in southern Utah. While there I did a little trail running. Nothing hardcore but it was beautiful and the first time I've been offroad with my new Firestone Destination A/T's. Summit of Brian Head Peak, elevation 11,307:

Why they call it the Bristle Cone Pine:

Them bristle cone pines were up at the trail we did last saturday as well. Took a couple pis of them, they are on the Kington peak posting. I am amazed that they arfent more proteted than they are.. To so many ppl, I am sure they pretty much look dead. But they were there bfore the pyramids were built!! (I loved the Planet Earth series |
