Well Everyone,

I figure that this is as good a time as any.

As mentioned on the KK board, I finally popped my 2008 Liberty (and my own) wheelin cherry.... had an absolute BLAST in Waiparous (Near Cochrane Alberta).

Bottomed out a few times HARD in a stock 2008 Liberty Ltd. No skid plates, no lift, no tires - 100% off-the-lot stock. Liberty did GREAT in the sloppy/mucky water. Some of the hills spooked me a little bit, but the Liberty was a champ!

Head over here for the full slideshow:

that hill was VERY steep - being my first time out, and the KK's first time out too.... I gotta admit... i was kinda poopin bricks at the bottom looking up!

Overall I was BLOWN AWAY by the ability of this Jeep. I know it's built for the trails and blahblahblah.... but WOW.

it was so much fun - I'll definitely be out again.

A couple times though I did bottom out HARD... driving along, and BAM! shocks are bottomed, and my belly's hit the ground. No damage *thank god*... but Brendon def. needs a lift.

Maybe I'll even be able to hit up the next LOST event if I've got the lift/tires/money!

Waiparous was a fun place Skin - next time we head out (probably not till next year/post lift) you'll have to make the trip up with the wife in her Liberty

Where do you wheel in Kananaskis? We were there not too long ago, and were desperately looking for a spot - but couldn't find a thing.

Wow, great pics. Looks like good times! I didn't know AB had so much to offer.

KJedmonton - Waiparous was a blast... probably about 2 1/2 - 3hrs from you (asuming you ARE in fact in Edmonton).... but there IS camping permitted... I was thinking that a weekend wheeling/camping trip would be in the cards next year.

Here's a couple videos of a few guys (and one of mine) that I took while out there:
