Ok ok, so I don' know about you guys..or gals. But my girlfriend has put up with an earfull of nothing but "Jeep this, Jeep that. This lift? Or that one? These tires or those? Wanna go offroad today? Look at that JEEP!!" So I was thinking maybe we ought to do a little thanking of our fine females (hubby's for you ladies) for putting up with us "KJ-Aholics?" Maybe a picture with our Jeep, to be followed by some "thank you's" from the rest of us here will help let them know they are appreciated and part of the group (I know mine will love it, lol) Let me know what you think.....even if you think it's stupid!! LOL Then i can just forget this ever happend.

Thank you for helping me get the tree...

For being with me on Christmas Day...

For putting up with me when I want to play in the cold weather when you can't stand anything below 50 degrees
Image

And for helping me raise our two "kids"
Image

So I want to extend a huge "THANK YOU" to my fiancee and all the other "Jeep Widows" out there! You are a mighty strong group of people to put up with (or join) us!!! (Great idea FL RENNY!)

This picture was taken back on August 9, 2002 just before an Indiana summer sunset drive out into the country. Our first child, my son, was born on August 20, 2002. Yeah, my wife DEFINITELY understands and puts up with jeepers!

I had to sell the 1974 CJ6 to get my Libby - man do I miss it. Only had 36k original miles with the Inline-6 and 3-spd on the floor. 8)

So what you are saying is that behind every good KJ guy is an even greater KJ girl.

That might hold true in most cases, in my case behind my KJ is the house that I left her, the furniture and a big diamond.

In my situation its the other way around. The Jeep is my Wifes, she picked it out she talks about other jeeps. I am just along for the ride! But I do like the Jeep I convinced her to get one, so its my toy too!

Hearing you guys talk, I am glad I bought my first Jeep before I got married. How on earth do you guys convince the wife to put up with this stuff? My GF barely understands (she is afraid to go fourwheeling, yeah I know i should dump her but she puts up with me which is hard to do). I don't know how I would do it if I had a wife telling me things like "no you don't really need that" or "take it easy we have to drive home in this". How do you guys do it? She already told me if we get married I need to quit smoking (i should anyways I know). Next she'll try to make me sell the Jeep or the dog, niether of which will happen. Help!!!

thats why when you get married.. make sure the one you marry is also your best friend.. a marriage is a 2 way street.. there are many compromises.. but usually my wife is right there with me with anything i do.. in fact she wanted the KJ just as bad as I did.. she picked the color of our KJ.. she always has a say in what we do with our KJ.. she goes with me on trails.. hiking.. geocaching.. everything.. if you find someone that makes you happy and you are concidering getting married to that person.. you shouldnt have to convince that person you want to get this or do that.. if its someone that really loves you they will want to have input on everything you do.. darn i love my wife.. she's usually in every pic i take of my KJ.. in fact she's in my photoCHOP in my avatar..

brpn#1 nailed this one, my wife is also my best friend and we do everything together. It is nice to see people actually saying good things about their wife/husband for once. She wanted the KJ as much as me when we were looking for a new car. She loves it lifted and with mud tires, and goes wheeling with us most of the time although she gets scared sometimes and gets out a lot on the harder spots.

Well.... I took my wife wheelin' for the first time on Jan 1st and she had a blast. At the beginning she was very skeptical on modding the KJ - she called it "pimping" our KJ. After a good set of tires - which was the first thing we got, she finally decided to jump in the fun and came for a full day of wheelin. On the ride back, and after hearing those loud noises coming from the KJ's armor hitting the rocks, etc during the day, she said... "you definetly need a lift". For all that and the support she gives for my new hobby.... Big Thanks to my wife.

Gotta give my GF kudos as well. Went wheeling recently and she waited till the very end to tell me she really had to pee desperately so could I please get to a gas station as we left the trail. When I asked why she hadn't told me earlier she said that she didn't want to cut my day short and she'd been holding it for like 3 hrs. While wheeling!

im right there with you.. i know some people kid around about 'my wife hates this' or 'my wife dont like that' but c'mon.. why get married if you cant get along? im not gonna say that we dont argue over things sometimes..we are 2 individuals with our own ideas.. sometimes that doesnt mix.. but making up is always great i mean, like a friend of mine always told me, all women must of read the same book *sorry ladies* but sometimes they all act the same in certain situations.. heck i bet we "men" do too.. my wife kids on me to everyone that I am just a big kid.. well i am.. i like to have fun.. i dont want to grow old thinking i should of done this or that.. YES.. i play video games.. i got a xbox 360.. of course.. :) i didnt pay for it i won it on mtn dew contest but still.. :) and i like to buy stuff for my KJ and go off road sometimes.. hell our driveway is offroad to some.. ask brpn#2, my neighbor, he will tell yah... but anyways.. usually if I tell her what i want to do up front.. she usually agrees w/me. or we compromise.. and sometimes on trails.. especially some forest service roads I have been on here in the NC mtns.. she gets scared.. sometimes we are on the side of a cliff.. but it all boils down to compromise.. thats the only way.. otherwise you might as well stay single.. my 2 cents.. :P
