Here's a video of our off-roading in Uwharrie last weekend.

A couple of notes. My bumper is not brown, that is from driving through the muddy red clay water. This video doesn't do the place justice. Even the spots that look level are inclined. You can tell by the white wrangler behind me. Look how far below me it is. Also, the guys on the ledge I'm climbing have their feet about even with my side mirrors.
Check out the flex on that rear tire LOL.
Enjoy!

On the first attempt, I kept getting High Centered... You can see that video here:

Cool video. That's quite a steep climb. :) Glad you finally made it.

Always nice to see someone wheeling their liberty on really difficult terrain instead of the 100s of curb flex shots and parking lot poses that some post.

great shots rescu

wish I lived in an area that there was anything within a days drive to wheel at.
A lot of us don't get to live where you drive a couple of hours and have great wheeling.
But then those that have that forget that not all are so lucky.

Trust me, I know how lucky it is. I am originally from southern (central) KY. Nothing around there but muddy fields. Uwharrie is unbelievable. I just can't believe that the government maintains miles and miles of rocky dangerous offroad trails for people to play on. living about 3 hrs from there is awesome. $30/yr for unlimited off roading and camping!

Then 2 1/2 hrs in the other direction I can camp and drive on the beach. 6 hrs and I'm in the smokies. 4 hrs and I'm in DC. It's a great location!!! And we are very very lucky to have that place to ride!

When my wife moves back to this country she wants to move to that area and find a college to teach at ( Nort Carolina area ) and in no way would I object! And you are right , everything is within a few hours. Maybe next spring I can take a few days off and head over there for some fun. Living where everything is FLAT as a pancake is no fun, but sadly thats where the job is!!
So everytime you are there, spend 10 minutes enjoying it for me!

Tom

Sure. If you do make it to the area, let us know in advance so that we can put a group together.

Nah, You'd be surprised what your jeep will do. You have all of the right mods to do that spot...

Wow. I don't know if I'd have to courage to keep trying to get through that spot. I'm constantly amazed at what 4x4's can do when outfitted with the right mods.
