Wow. I don't think I could explain it to my wife how I got my rig stuck up on a rock like that.

I was wondering the same thing, but just figured I was too much of a newb to know what that tank is really for.

Dude, you're really going nuts and having fun at the same time!! Does your buggy have it's roots in being a Jeep at one point in it's previous life? Who built it?? Anyway, nice pics.

LOL... cool googles. You might want to consider headgear and better seat restrains.

Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty and quoted one of your posts from the other forum. Someone asked you:

"Getting the hang of driving it now Randy, what's it like flashing back to the Lib? Nice Pics, thanks."

Your reply:

"Yeah starting to

This his a whole different world from the Liberty. Everything changed, in a good way. It's funny now I realize how "un-capable" the Liberty really is.
".

After reading this thread, I saw your post on the other forum. Your reply above is kind of a cheap shot. There is no comparison at all. You're comparing two completely different vehicles. Your running hardcore with a buggy and dis the Liberty on the other forum... then you come here posting your pics. Sorry if I took your comments the wrong way, but not cool in my book. :?

I don't know about all that....

Most of seem perfectly aware of how "un-capable" our rigs are... that's half of the fun :D Those that aren't aware of it probably haven't seen what is truly possible in a "capable" rig

Awesome buggy man!!! Can I ride in it? :D

As I said, I most likely took it the wrong way, I usually do, but that's my opinion of how I read it. I would think most people realize what a Liberty can and cannot do. Comparing one to a more capable rig, especially a buggy, is nuts. It took going from a Liberty to a buggy to make him realize the difference??

No, this is a Toyota based rig. It started life as an 81 Hilux truck. It still has the original engine, transmission and transfer case. Yes it runs on propane. I have a 7gal tank in the back. The little black tank is a 4 or 5 gal air tank that runs off of a york ac compressor mounted in the engine. It runs the front ARB locker and can be used to air up the tires or run short bursts of air tools if I need it. Most of the frame is still intact, and the front leaf springs are original I believe. The guy I bought it from built it, including the cage. It's a very well built rig and is why I bought it. Also has 2 12,000lb Bulldog winches. One front, one rear. Tires are 37" on 17" beadlocks which were also made by the previous owner.

I am hoping to trade the TJ seats for some racing seats that have harness slots. I have 5 point harnesses in both front seats but the shoulder straps won't stay on because they wrap around the upper portion of the seats. Hope that makes sense. A helmet is also on my "to buy" list. Thanks for the concern :)

In regards to the KJ comment you did take it the wrong way. I was in no way dissing the KJ. Believe me it wheels like hell for what it is and plenty of people around here (Arizona) have been really surprised at what it could do. My point is that even thought it's great for what it is, there is a LOT it can't do. I figured that out when I bought this buggy.

The KJ is the only Jeep I've ever owned aside from my CJ which is in pieces right now being restored.

I'd like to keep this thread drama free please from now on.

no reason to be up on those rocks. So much for "Tread Lightly". Those kind of off trail stunts are some of the reasons trails seem to be getting closed all over the country. (looked fun though)

You are 110% right. Thanks for bringing it up!! Sadly, it's happening more and more often with some newer people to the sport, and some of the older ones. Most 4x4 clubs frown on that kind of activity and practice Tread Lightly....

Sick buggy, if it's your thing. Nice pics, yes. Tread Lightly, not hardly. It may be okay back East on private property... but not on public lands out here. For the record, no hate going on, just calling it what it is... more fodder for the Greenies who are trying their best to shut us down.

And just for the record... actions pictured above would not be tolerated by most, if not all of the folks in the AZ LOST JEEPS chapter of this club.
