so what do you do if you want to use your jeep while your camping? does that red thing just kinda hang there? also would bugs/rain get it the tent when it's hooked up to the KJ. will the tent stand by its self without the jeep hook up area? i want one :)

The red part has a zip cord.... after you unhook it from the jeep... Zip it up... and you are good to go.... 8)
Yes it stands by itself...
NO bugs or rain when it's hooked up to the jeep.... Unless you forget the rain guard....

awesome thanks for the info chris. the only problem is that my jeep is lifted so high that the part that attaches to the jeep would make the other part of the tent at a 70 degree angle to the ground

i've found a bunch on craigslist but no one will ship!

If someone is interested I actually have one of these types of tents (it has the grill/light design) sitting in my garage that I would be willing to part with. It has been used a couple of times but it is in good condition. Would prefer not to ship, but I can be swayed.

PM'd you.

Chris and Tom.. those two black KJ's are just small little jeeps compared to the huge Red KJ just over the PA boarder! In fact.. from the pictures above i'd say your roof racks are roughly the same height as the bottom of my back bumper (tom's may be up to the plate light) 8) 8) 8)

I like that but I think the whole Jeep and tent togther would be too long for most of the places I camp. they set the sites up so that there is a place to park and then you set your tent and things up to the left. It is a cool tent.

I used one of these out beach campin when I stayed out for a week or so, borrowed it from one of my friends with a 06

i hate to say it, but after about the second night i quit using the vehicle attachment, however, it did help keep sand out of the tent and keep the bugs out while setting up / cooking the first two nights
