The outer beach at Smith Point has finally opened on Long Island. Our beaches got pretty beat up from the harsh winter storms we got hit with, and a lot of the beaches here where ORV are allowed have been closed due to erosion. I took a drive out to the Moriches Inlet to check the fishing. I think VMJCRD said it best last week, "You really like to drive on the beach, don't ya?" On such a picturesque day, who wouldn't! I think they are 90 bucks and you can get them at the eastern pavillion near the campground. Just need a Suffolk green key, driver license and registration. The green key is $20 for 3 years and good at all Suffolk County parks for reduced admission and parking. I will definitely let you know the next time I take a ride out that way. Love the new avatar BTW. |

I think they do, not sure of the price though. I'm pretty sure you still need a green key to buy a day pass. |

Great pictures Jeff, did you notice any changes in the beach due to the erosion? |
