look at you, mod posting in the wrong section  that happens here during droughts, once theres enough dust in the atmosphere, it rains sludge |

We get similar events out here in the desert - winds get the dust kicked up real good, then the afternoon rains come in and everything mixes together. Glad I'm not obsessive about keeping my Jeep clean...

I grew up in West Texas (Lubbock). Lived there for 30 years. It rained Mud there every spring. Think of the dustbowl pictures you saw in jr. high history class. Then add 1/10" of rain. You get mud ball falling from the sky. |

Still strange for me... I can handle it snowing it's @ss off while the sun is shining with out a cloud in the sky, but the whole mud rain thing is like

Well at least it's not acidic...  Then everything gets dirty, it eats your Jeep, and pregnant women can't go outside due to risk of birth defects

Take those pictures and send them into the weather channel and they will probably tell you what causes it and maybe youll even be on TV with those pictures! |

Well The Weather Channel might use those pics... Either way, that is nothing like it was in the Middle East. I couldn't believe how a black asphault road would have so much mud on it after it rained. That place was incredable. It was like it "mudded" a half inch everywhere when it rained!!
