Me and a couple buddies decided to go exploring this weekend, and really tested my '08 KK Sport. Had a great time, and now the fever sets in

The downhill assist definitely makes everything a cake walk! I was also impressed that the stock Wranglers held up through this- time to upgrade

The videos: (sorry about the fingers over the lens- my friends a little slow  )

Going down was a lot worse than coming up...

All in all, I'd call the weekend a success, even though the woman wasn't too happy about all the scratches when we got back

We were down just south of Elk Ridge and Payson, around Four Bay in Payson Canyon :) We started in Elk Ridge, drove up to Four Bay, up towards Mount Loafer, and then came out on top of the P Mountain, if you know where those landmarks are :P

You should've posted your plans in The Rockies section and you might've had some more peeps go with you. FYI: there's a U4WDA board meeting @ Larry Miller in Sandy this Thursday @ 6:30 upstairs in te conference room. The Take Back UT! Parade and Rally is this Saturday at the capital; staging begins at 6 AM... fight the power! The next U4WDA meeting is 9/17 in MOAB @ The Gravel Pit Lanes; I plan to stay the weekend and do some wheeling. There are some very cool peeps with Liberties from W CO who plan to attend as well.

Way to keep dissing one of the ONLY companies who are making things for the KJ and KK. :|

You have no experience with JBA..... so why constantly talk crap about them?

I would've posted it, but it wasn't a very well planned thing  we just up and went.

Thanks for the invite! That sounds like something I'd like to go to, but I have work  maybe I can make it to the rally... Although I think I'd look ridiculous with a stock KK putting around :ROTFL:

And on JBA, I think they're the only ones who offer a spring lift kit for the KK so far...

I do have experience... luckily no one was hurt and I know why Al sold the company after said incident. Poor R&D and making the customer the unwilling tester is not acceptable.

The rally has nothing to do with looking cool it's about being present to say "I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore!"

Make sure you check out Rocky Mountain Extreme and become a member... it's mostly Utahns and there's always rides going on: http://rockymountainextreme.com/ good bunch of peeps.
Don't forget to sign up for U4WDA; it only costs $10 for a year and that includes "The Compass" magazine: http://u4wda.org/
The money and efforts go to keeping our access to our trails protected.

It's a bummer about the JBA lift; do what you need to get'er lifted. If you need a shop and lift to install it, let me know, I have access to 20K sq ft of shop and lifts in SLC.

I go out to the West Desert a few times a month with friends to campfire. One friend has a stock Ranger so it's just dirt roads, I'll let you know the next time we go... it's usually Sat nights.

Good to see another UT Liberty... good on ya.

your experience became dated as soon as ownership changed. i bought my springs from jba and the service was great. wayy better than rock krawler or 4wp.
i think you need to give them another chance
