I wish we coulda been there for it :SOMBRERO: but we left a few days ago. I'm in MO for now and Jolene (my g/f in the picture) is in KY. We'll be moved there though in April. I'd like to get a group together to do some wheeling down there once we get there.

Nice, yeah I love the wheeling in KY its awesome there. I'll be sure to hit everyone up when I get there. I'd like to plan a meet and greet and maybe a trailrun or two within a month of getting there. I took Jolene wheeling with me for her 1st time in KY and she loved it. So she always rides shotgun  Whats the terrain like there? I mean should I plan on buying skids? Or is the money best spent other places?

I'd buy the front one, but I don't really think any more is needed. No rocks or anything..... just to protect the low tranny lines from sticks, etc...

Yeah, I heard that in FL its gonna be all sand, mud and water so I'd be better off spending the dough on a locker.

I'd look into a winch to be honest....when I got stuck, no wheels would've had traction...even with a locker. :D

Tampa FL? Lucky you!

I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could just get my wife to move from this godforsaken place.

I just moved from Tampa to Wisconsin......I'm in the minority, but man did I miss the cold... I'm not a FL person....never felt like home in the 12 years I lived there. Too hot for me there...

But...best of luck to your move!

This is a good idea at Florida wheeling (when it hasn't been raining):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgHIyLLdlj4

When it has been raining (which is often):

Also be ready for this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A814W5uoHPE

Just last week I had to drive through about 16" of water on BB Downs by 75. Headed to Target, started raining while I was there, on my way home the roads had already flooded.

And skinny tires do wonders here. I ran 235s on my TJ and currently have 215s on my KJ (until then wear out then going 235). 255/85 is the ultimate FL tire. If you're smart about where you go, theres going to be hard bottom down there for those skinnys to grip.

darn those first two videos look like fun :SOMBRERO: Can't wait to get some of that!! I've been there when the roads are flooded...gets slick...almost wrecked my brothers Mustang lol. Some people swear by skinny tires, some swear by wider tires :) Myself I've always liked the looks and performance of the wider tires. The Libby is so light when I airdown it seems like I've always floated on top of it all. Havent been stuck yet (knock on wood)
