rustys lift is great. steers just like stock rides the same as well. i did find that the shocks that came with the lift were a little noisy, so we cranked the bolts really tight on the top shock mount and that cleared it up. i would recommend rusty's lift to anyone. its about the same as a frankenlift it seems to me. |

the lift was $500 including shipping tires were $850 including 4 wheel alignment. we put two extra spring rubbers on each rear side, that was $40 ( picked those up at jeep dealership ) also put 4 - 2 inch conduit washers on each side of the front, that was $2 |

Regarding the spring rubbers do you have the part number or do you just ask for spring RUBBERS And you put 4 conduit nuts on each side? I had already gotten 2 for each side but I do like the way yours sits, just right. What did you have to pay to have the struts and springs put on? I am going to do it all myself but just wondering what you paid to have them put on |

just ask for spring isolators. they'll look at you like your crazy asking for 4. the guy at the counter told me the jeep only took one on each side, and i was like, i know...lol me and eddo from the site installed everything. |

Do you or eddo have a spring compressor, asking around the shops up here they want an arm and a leg even if I have them off and carry them in to them. They want as much as if they were doing the whole thing. Of course still new to the Toledo area so havent found the good "ole boy" shops yet. |

We used a set just like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-PAIR ... 9880QQrdZ1 However, it was a little hairy with just those two. Not too bad but if I had to do it again I would get an extra set. It would definetly made it eaiser getting it to compress the last inch or so. However, I would make sure you have air tool otherwise you will be turning for quite a while, I would say probably a half hour on each strut. So that is a total of 2 hours if not more of just turning bolts to compress the springs. Not that it can't be done but it will take some time. If you are intrested in doing it yourself hit me up with a PM and I can tell you a couple little tricks that bad it go smoother. If you are looking for a shop to hand carry them, that is really not a bad idea either. When I did my firt lift that is what I did. You need to just pick up the phone book and call shop after shop. I found a couple that wouldn't even do it. A few that wanted to charge for 3.5 hours of labor. But about half said it was fine and probably about 40 dollars to do both. Just like call 6 or 7 shops and you are bound it get a couple to do it for a reasonable price. Just look to call shop that have private names like "Joe's Auto Repair", etc. Stay away from places like Midas, Chain tire stores, Dealers, etc. And if you really want, you can just drive down to dayton and I will help you throw it on. |

me and eddo from the site installed everything. So you have a total of 3 Spring Isolators on each side? Can you explain how you put them on? If you have pics, that would be better. Thanks! |

ill take pics this weekend and post, yes there are three on each side what we did was 1. take off the rear wheels 2. pulled the spring rubbers out 3. put the additional spring rubbers on, they will fit really snug and right on top of each other. what we had to do here, since three spring rubbers are really tight, we put a jack under the opposite side of the axle that we were working on and lifted it up to get as much room to pop the spring in place as we could get, we had to work it in, but it did fit once we had the spring in there, it was really nice and tight, no worries of it popping out. gave almost 1 inch extra lift in the back. |

Wow looks awsome!!!! can't wait to get my lift. Can you tell me about the conduit nuts, what do they do and where do they go? Thanks |

conduit nuts go between the top of the clevis and the bottom of the strut housing. they give you a nice level look after you put a lift on your ride. |
