Thanks! I love the jeep, as its fun the drive and fits my family a bit better then the KJ did. A 98 niner (5.9l) ZJ was the first jeep I drove and offroaded a nd from there it was a love affair with jeeps. Kinda surprised I didnt get a GC to start off with, but definitly glad I had the KJ.

Went to sears to replace the adapter I shattered trying to do the steering stabilizer and finally finished the job! I havent really tested the new one but Im sure it will be better then the factory 103k mile one it replaced.

I got rid of mine for an 02 Olds Bravada, then in 07 when I was ready for a Jeep again, I got the KJ because I thought the WK's were too old man like. :-)r WJ's are the best GC's ever IMO, the design still looks as fresh as it did back in 99 when I got mine new.

Speakers came in! Didnt do the dash speakers but installed the rear and front and man what a difference in clarity and over all quality 2ohm speakers can make to a factory system. Also removed the factory cd changed to use the space for storage since it wasnt hooked up anyways.

I agree. Im a sucker for ZJs though, but I will agree that the WKs arent for me either. Plus if Im going to get a GC I want either an old school v8 or a powertech and none of that "hemi" BS, as well as I dont want another IRS until I have all the lifting itches out of me.

The WK2 felt pretty nice to me. Seemed like it had good clearance. Drove like a Jeep should, it had just had the Jeep charm...the WK kinda lost it to me.

Well getting some time away from the baby at the expense of my wife, but few more pictures/progress on the WJ.

New intake system! The airaid was great and all but the the airbox wasnt bolted down (due to the last tech sheering bolts and/or losing them) so I rigged it for a ram air. Plus the way it was bolted down made it rub and squeak, but hey if you have a properly installed airbox I recomend the airaid over all (including my K and N but I couldnt pass it up for the price + circumstance!).

K and N FIPK with ram air

71mm Fastman throttle body!

Kolak 3in ehxaust (flowmaster SUV 50, Magnaflow 3in cat)

Addco rear sway (tried my best to get a pic) with greaseable bushings
Image

Old but hey still a nice mod! Proclipusa mount.

Missing the best part of this mod, but here is the base...the very foundation that holds the best mod I ever did to any jeep EVER!

and here is the best mod ever

That final mod is indeed sweet. :D

I am considering ram air for my KK. I have 2 questions: What kind of difference does it make in your WJ? Ever have any problems driving in a torrential rainstorm? Thanks!

Post subject:  Re: My WJ.

It does nothing other then significantly lower intake temps, but overall no performance difference. As for rain storms I have no issues with those either.

Honestly I have been thinking about going back to the airraid setup to test and see which I like the most. Honestly Ill probably end up back on the K and N fipk setup as the response was the real improvement.

Well a case of beer later and:

OME HD springs ~3in lift, Bilstein 5100, New ISOs, JKS adjustable track bar, IRO extended sway links, and 31in Grabber ATs on crager soft 8s 4in BS. I must say that despite being much higher and much taler e rated tires the 4.7 still gets down! Might get the speedo adjusted and get a nice tune after my next big maintenance.

Also did front and rear service and installed the painted covers.

Thanks! I was going to go aftermarket but opted out cause I wanted an addco rear sway and you cant do addco and aftermarket covers in the rear. But a painted srt 8 cover will do for me.

Eventually I want d44 non aluminum front and rear. But for now the stock varilock axles are good enough, although the perches are pretty shot, for my needs since I will stick with 31s for a long while. Although JK d44s with dtt and 32-33s would be a dream.

i kinda want to do the same the d30 up front is plenty for me i have no plans on going bigger than 32's but i do want a JK D44 rear with ARB's front and rear. i want next year tax time to re-gear to 4.10's and ARB up front.

or heck for the rear i could pull out all the stops and get this

Nice! Yeah the only mandatory axle change is to get rid of that d44a in the rear. While Ill be good for a couple of years with it is going to eventually go. I also looked at east coast, as well as IRO JK axles. I honestly will probably only go to 32s max on this rig as I dont want any more lift then my OME HD ~3in.
