Hmm, just found this thread. Are those the dunes near Rocky Point? If so, a friend of mine from Phoenix goes there every Memorial Day (US) for the weekend and wheels the dunes. He has a John Deere green 1960 Willys Wagon.

Nice pics by the way. Looks like fun!

Not near Rocky point (puerto peñasco), this dunes are probabbly 350+ miles south.

But there are more, and bigger sand dunes near Rocky point. I think "Altar Desert dune" are the largest extension of sand dunes y North America.

wow, will be a long trip, but, first you need to get to Phoenix or Tucson AZ.

Then, check this cordanates:

32° 00' 54,03'' N
114° 23' 55,04'' W

In November will be a MASSIVE event. 2 days in the dunes, a lot of cars (1000+).

Thanks for the reply! I only knew about the Rocky Point dunes. I figured if you went there you might have seen my buddy's ride. She's a rare bird, and at the risk of hijacking this thread, here's a pic.

This time were in diferents dunes. This place its call "SAHUIMARO". Its barely known...

A a TJ with 42 TSL was the main entertainment.
