Took off everything black, including a new ARB bumper, loaded it in a U-Haul and brought it down to my local Line-X guy. Looks great, I'll let you know how it holds up.

Looks fantastic! I had the same thought for mine and now I am convinced it will look good. I only with mine was the same color as yours...

I think I'll do this. my rear bumper has some, marks, from prior incidences. might be a nice way to cover it up. :D

Look's great, tactful application. Love the louvers... They functional or aesthetic?

I havent even had my KK offroad yet and I want to do this just because of the idiots here in NY who dont care about dinging other peoples cars. Let'em try after line-x. I want to do the lower portion of the doors and body also should look pretty sick. Props to the extra armor.

It cost right at $600, but that was taking everything off and bringing it in clean/degreased. Brought it in at 9, got it back around 3.

The door trim pieces came off easy, I was surprised. Stuck a trim stick under the front edges until I could get a fingerhold, then pulled them off. They are attached with something like 3m tape. I definitely put my $6 set of Harbor Freight trim sticks to use in getting everything off without destroying anything.

Hmmm...I wonder how a KK would look with the bumpers and fenders done up that way?

that's pretty much how it usually goes. prep is frequently longer than actual "application" for alot of things.

Right but line-x is no joke that stuff gets on everything and does not come off. My buddy got it in a two-tone style on his f-250 and he said prep was almost an hour but paint time was 15 mins

Getting mine done next week!!
Did you get the UV Protectant? Does this stuff fade without it?? I dont like that glossy look of the UV mixed in. Also yours looks much rougher than the sample they showed me in the store. Did you have them do something special to make it that rough?
