Great thread that I myself was thinking of starting. I have/had my cb mounted on my center console storage compartment, secured with a bungee cord. The vinyl surface kind of locks it in with the bungee for extra hold. You will need an external speaker for this set-up as the one on the radio will be buried into the compartment cover. It's a bit difficult to change channels as you have to reach back a bit to do it, but it works for me, as I didn't have drill or modify anything inside the Jeep.
For an antenna, I've been using a simple magnet mount Wilson LiL Wil on the roof. The profile is way to high for any serious wheeling, and you better remove it prior to entering a parking garage (learned the hard way

). I'm looking for other antenna mounting ideas, without having to drill holes into the body in any conspicuous places.
One problem I've encountered in the past few weeks, and this may be because I'm using the 12v receptacle for power, is that I keep blowing the inline fuse when I try to use my higher powered radios (General Lee or Galaxy). The stock Cobra works fine...for what it is. I'm not sure if the 12v power source isn't enough for the 80w General Lee or 25w Galaxy, or if there is a short or other problem somewhere.
Can't wait to see some replies here.
