After two years of ownership I was tired of bouncing on the rear bumpstops and hitting my head on the rear glass when open. Installed OME shocks and springs, Al's uca's, new lca bushings, lower balljoints, and swaybar links. Also trimmed front bumper and made a custom skid plate extension. More to come when I save more $. ![]() ![]() |

2 1/2 or 4 ?? Appears to be just the OME full spring lift |

They list it as 1.5" on Jeepin By Al's site, just OME heavy duty CRD shocks w/ 790 and 948 springs. I got about 3" from this setup, no extra spacers front or rear. |

Wow must of been sagging bad ![]() of course I've had them in and they're sitting at 17.5-17.75 ![]() Nothing wrong with Michigan, ( well not too much) have some of the guys from up there come to M&Gs all the time, plus lifted a few from up there |

Seizer, I will have to watch for you when I am in Canton. My wife and I are down there usually almost once a week at Movies 10. Jeep looks great! I will eventually get rid of my saggy spring, but until then I will ride the bumpstops, or close to it. |

Jeep looks great! I really like that diamond plate skid. I want to make one. What are you using to bend these? I live in an apartment and just have hand tools. Is there a way I can bend one like that? Diamond plate is pretty thick |

SurfRenegade, I just used some aluminum that is 1/16" thick, bent sides back to give it some strength. Made most cuts on a tablesaw with a carbide tipped blade. To bend, just clamped it between the edge of my workbench and a piece of angle iron, then just pushed down on the skid. After I finished fitting it, I used a die grinder with a 2" surfacing disk to make swirl marks. I don't wheel this jeep, so I felt the material I already hade was strong enough. ![]() ![]() |

Great job on the skid! I just assumed it was diamond plate since I saw a pattern on it. The swirls are a very cool touch. I guess I will try and rent a bender from lowes or something. I hate to buy something that I would actually enjoy making myself. |

Seizer wrote: METCRD, Thanks, we may see each other sometime, I live 5 min. from Movies 10. Seizer/METCRD, I live in Hartville - how have we missed each other? Not many nice Liberty's around here, especially lifted, so I keep my eyes out for them. Next Meet & Greet up at Mudd's Garage maybe all head up as the Northeast Ohio contingent. ![]() And Seizer, we'll even forgive you for originally being from Michigan ![]() P.S. Love that skid too!
