How long have you had those 790 OME springs on there? I have a gasser with the 927s in front, and I still wonder if I should have gone for the 926. It's a pretty stiff ride...

I've had em on for a couple hundred. They probably have close to 2k on them now as I got them from a Jeepkj country member with 1500 on them. I think they ride great, very controlled. I like a stiff ride and hate when it's soft and "cushiony"

Very awesome progress lately. :pepper:

How does your driveshaft feel now when ya cruise and let off the gas?

Thanks, and there's more yet to come! And it feels the same as stock, no differences.

So I changed the rear and front diff fluid today

Here's the rear diff with the cover taken off

And the cover

All cleaned up

And this mess came out of the front diff. If you can't tell what I'm talking about it's the GREY oil, which means I got water in it. So I'm going to change the fluid again next week to flush the rest out.

Painted the rear axle, hitch, and front suspension today. Then I cut off the front air dam too. (sorry for the crappy cell pics, couldn't find the camera)

All primered up in the rear.

That looks really great painted! I've thought about doing my rear since we all know how great New Jersey treats our rides no matter how many times you wash it.

My axle actually wasn't that bad but the hitch was looking terrible, so I did that too

I'll prob end up doing it eventually. Any prep work besides priming? Any sanding? I'm guessing you just used a bunch of newspaper to protect from over spray.

Well I went over everything with a wire brush and paper towel to get off anything stuck on and wipe it off like rust and dirt. I used a paper towel on each shock to keep the spray off it. Then I primered everything up.

To keep the the black off the diff cover I used a strip of blue painters tape around it. Then to keep the blue off the black I just painted I put the painters tape on the under side lip of the diff having the sticky side facing towards me, sort of like a little shield. Worked great and since the rattle cans I used sprayed fairly accurately I had to do very minimal masking off, in fact in the front I didn't mask anything off and just used a very steady hand :-)r

Thanks! Thinking about just making everything nice and black. My shocks are yellow, but I think a yellow diff might look stupid. The blue really looks bad booty on yours!

My shocks are white, I just let em be. My front's are yellow bilstiens with the blue boot and there's no way I'm taking em apart just to paint em lol. Just pick a color scheme and roll with it, I chose blue for obvious reasons and the black because I like how it goes with blue

Changed the front diff fluid again and the fluid is less milky than the first change. Hopefully that's all of it, still going to check it after a few days and if it's still somewhat milky I'll change it again.
And in other good news I found the culprit of it! I figured it would be that the breather line was too short and sucked in water. Nope! There was a small gap where the breather hose attached to the diff (hose was bent a lil bit open) so I siliconed the crud out of it.

No mine was snug on there. Is it making a popping or clicking type noise?
