So I have owned my 05 rocky mountain edition for barely over a year now so i figured it was time for a build thread. Mainly i need something to pass the time while i wait for the little one to go to bed.
So here it goes:
i bought it off the lot in january 2012 with 125xxx miles on it with no modifications
These were taken the day i got her

then i decided to add a few modifications like steps (the only item i regret adding...although they are still on) and some decals to make it mine
Image

on both rear windows

Image
Then i took it to Mudd's Garage and added lights to the brush guard (previously installed but no pic of just it) and a front skid
Image
And then i lifted it and the very next day on my way to get it aligned it got wrecked into! $6k worth of damage but thank goodness we both had full coverage. :D
Image
Image
But the insurance fixed it and actually upgraded my fog lights from the rene fogs to hella rallye 4000s :D major upgrade
Image

near future mods:
I already bought: a full set of mopar skids to go on her
mopar rear tow hook
set of hella 500s pencil beams
Bulldog remote start
maybe a set of 17" chrome kj wheels and bigger tires

down the road mods:
with in a month i plan to order rock lizard super skinks and the gecko sport basket with lights

eventually i would like to do a 4" lift (technically 3.5") with the ome diesel springs and do a RL or ARB front bumper and RL rear bumper

upgrade the skids to something that can actually take a beating

a CB of some kind

I never plan on doing a SAS but that doesn't mean i wont ;)

What do you have for recovery up front?

That brush guard takes the place where front tow hooks mount doesn't it?

You might want to, if you plan to wheel it. Beats having to pull from something else if you get stuck and you can't recovery it from the rear tow hook..

Well when my compressor kicks on for my defrost my lights dim and when i hit my window switches they dim too. Thats with my radio on but no off road lights or anything else. So i figured id start with the alternator. With 147000 miles then move to the battery with 27000 miles then pull out the volt meter and look for gremlins if i still couldn't find anything.

Try taking someplace that will check the alternator output, several of the battery places here do that at no charge. From what Ive read the computer controls the alternator output and going to a higher output one has null effect on charging. I was having similar issues and the problem turned out to be a bad cell in the battery.
I.E. it wouldnt hold what the alternator was putting out. And it died overnight when it decided to quit on me.

Doesn't matter how old the battery is it can still go bad even at 6 months
Check it first then go from there
