well I thought I would hold out for a while...

The ARB did its job..
Image

Not even a scratch.. seriously. I had some silver paint on it, and a busted Warn light (which Warn sent me parts to repair it).

I could not believe it. The Winch control box got shifted back, but was easily fixed. Even took it to the body shop to check the frame and what not... everything was in spec. Didnt even need an alignment!

Glad you're OK
My ARB has done the same to a Toyota Camry, 4 Deer and a Chevrolet pickup so far, still going
Haven't seen anything else hold up like an ARB,

How fast were you going? And the Toyota?
I wish I would've bought one years ago when I had some extra cash.

Uhhh at the time of impact, I would say I was moving maybe 25-30 tops, toyota was at 0-5mph tops. brakes totally locked.

So it was a pretty good collision.. or bad.. I digress.

The ARB has blown my mind at its toughness over the years. trees, rocks, mud.. other vehicles. and how I havent had to repaint it is unreal.

If you can deal with a less than desirable arrival angle, then the ARB is by far the best on the market. Tried and True. and very reasonable for what you get.

You know, though we appreciate it, you didn't really have to ruin that other car like that to prove your point :-)r

Good thing the back of that Avalon gave your Jeep a cushy soft place to stop.

Did you air bag(s) deploy?

I don't doubt that the bumper doesn't make an excellent 2 ton battering ram for obliterating woodland creatures or plowing into the crumple zone of car and trucks that Sir Mix-a-Lot would lust for. In fact, if I had an extra $1100 burning a hole in my pocket I would love to have one on my KJ. My question is will the KJ's air bags deploy with an ARB attached when you hit something large and unyielding enough that stops the ARB-clad Liberty so fast that your face wants to continue right through the steering wheel into the windshield? ARB claims to have crash tested their bumpers to ensure air bag functionality. Does anyone have any real world experience with this?
