I just had a very enjoyable off-road adventure in NM this weekend with a couple of my Tacoma buddies from the region and thought I'd share some pics...

We first went North to the Jemez, and took some pictures at Jemez Falls. Then back through ABQ/Rio Rancho and hit some dunes off the highway. Then it was about 2.5 hours South from there to Truth or Consequences, where we proceeded on a 103 mile off-road adventure through Monticello Canyon. We saw at least 5-6 different groups of elk, one group of whitetail, one group of mule deer, and two groups of wild turkey on one stretch of the drive also, which is very different from what I'm used to seeing on back roads in AZ.

I'll be posting photos in groups of ten, trying to keep them as orderly as possible.

Lookslike fun. What trails did you go on, which area was it in, and how long did they take? I'm looking for a fun 2 day offroad trip some time in August.

Thanks for the pictures, that looks fun! I drive through Truth or Consequences fairly regularly. Had to spend the night in a gym there once because of a blizzard. Anyway, I had no idea Monticello Canyon was there and will be sure to check it out.
