Is pelican island open again?

I talked to the Game Warden that is always patrolling the island, he watched me get winched out by my friend :furious: ...He said as long as we weren't shooting stuff or anything illegal/stupid he didn't care if we went back there. There is a construction road with a bunch of no trespassing signs that I try to avoid driving on but besides that I think it is fair ground for wheeling. I go a couple times a week. :JEEPIN:

BTW, Post up some pics of your Kj, 4x4kayak2112.

His Kj's nice in person. I love the clearance the bumper he fabbed up gives and you can never go wrong with Emergency lights :JEEPIN:

We need to make a beach trip guys. It's not like it's that far!

Yep I did all the metal work myself... Anything has a $ point. It's just the cost of metal is what gets ya.

Here's the current state of the bumper. Since the pics I have painted a "hood decal" and bed lined the top of the roof.

Here's the 2nd stage

Here's the original design of the bumper.

4x4kayak, you did a great job! I am more of a fan of the stubby or prerunner style bumpers, something light weight and smaller.
I started compounding the Jeep today...darn bushes :banghead:
