Yes, those are wood screws in the cam bearing caps. The P.O.'s mechanic had obviously no clue what he was doing. 4 broken rods as well, and a counterweight busted off the crank. plus holes in the block and bedplate

Engine was so seized that I had to pull the trans off torque converter to get to the bolts for torque converter

well, gonna be awhile before I mess with this....apparently I need to resize everything to be visible on the forum. screw that.
