Some photos of a trip my brother-in-law and I took to Big Bend National Park in March. His KJ is the blue '06 Renegade and I drive the black '05 Sport. These are only a few of the photos we took. To see our Photo Stream for many more pics.

Thanks. We had a blast. Getting to and from Big Bend is a commitment - 8 hour drive from my home north of Dallas to the closest park entrance. As much as we loved it, neither of us thought we would want to return anytime soon. What a difference a few months makes. Editing through through these photos has me ready to plan another trip next year. Maybe I can talk my wife into going this time.

Oh the memories. Awesome pics. Took the trip back In '06 when I first got my CRD it was totally worth the drive.

About 180 miles just to get there from Odessa. It would probably be about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive, depending on where in the park you are going.

We took extra gas because we didn't want to pay NPS rates for fuel, which was really high. We used the extra fuel we took but it isn't necessary to do so. You can refuel at Panther Junction, right in the middle of the park, at Rio Grande Village in the east and probably at Santa Elena or Castillon in the west. If i had to do it over again, I'd maybe take a 2 gal can just for an emergency and buy gas there as needed.
