So you ditched the ARB for that ?
I mean the Detours mount is good but not even close to a ARB
Just curious

Ya the arb mounts the winch sideways so I was not able to easily free spool and i also dont know if it was the amount of rope i have but i could not spool it well enough not to rub at the end but it was and is a very good bumper but I plan on working off the detours to make a pre runner style front bumper around the stock plastic eventually

We installed that same winch with synthetic line into my old ARB bumper on Johns
works just like it should

Is the winch supposed to mount sideways the bolts facing forward ??
That just seems weird sits a little too high on mine

and is there a high flow thermostat for the crd it seems to run a little hotter highway speeds because of the winch blocking radiator

I have that same winch on my ARB. Took it apart and clocked the ends . Yes it bolts forward, but that was not a problem at all after re -clocking it. Controls are are on top as they should be and no issues with rubbing.
