Not bad for 130K miles. I actually put on new tires (Duratracs) just after these photos were taken. The BFGs were awesome, but heavy. Because this is mostly a daily driver now I thought the load range Cs would be good.

A few cosmetic comments: I had the hood repainted at 80K miles, which makes a big difference now. Also, the new headlights make a difference. The driver seat bottom was reupholstered. And I replaced the headliner.

Between the 4.10 gears and the suspension mods and maintenance, this is an awesome daily driver. It has good acceleration, and the shift points are great. That is the only reason I still own it.

The plan is to keep it for about another three years. I could keep it going for another 10, but with the changing CAFE standards want something that will last another 20 years.

Awesome. I like seeing BFGs on a Liberty.
How much lighter are the new Duractracs?

The BFG T/A KOs and the new T/A KO2s both have a spec weight of 48 lbs.

The load range E Duratracs with 3-ply sidewalls have a spec weight of 45 lbs. The load range C Duratracs with 2-ply sidewalls have a spec weight of 40 lbs.

So this tire is 8 lbs lighter than the old one.

Years ago, I had a sidewall failure from a minor rock cut in a Goodyear Silent Armor tire, which has two sidewall plies. So I much prefer three plies over two. But this is an experiment.

Awesome. Keep us posted. If you wouldn't mind, please note if you notice any change in mpgs.
