Since the 04 Kilimanjaro Edition has covered over 220,000 miles, been lifted all but 20,000 of those. Its had 4 different lifts, tested a lot of different things , it was time to slow it down for a bit and redo it. SO, picked up an 81,000 mile one owner 2003 a couple of months back started with this ![]() ![]() ![]() added leather seats, trimmed the bumper some, installed the Matrix Brush Guard that was in the basement, and some other goodies ![]() ![]() Then had to do something with the suspension, about 1.5 inches below stock height so enter jeepinbyals 2.5 inch Total Control lift with fully adjustable shocks front and rear ![]() so with the Matrix brush guard it sat like this ![]() butnow.......... ![]() front is low in this picture, was still adjusting height

I'm looking forward to following your build thread, Tom. It's already shaping up to be a good looking lifted Liberty. Such a clean Jeep and low miles for an 03-- a great find! Are you thinking of running the Matrix permanently or is it there temporarily until a steel bumper shows up? |

Well regarding the front bumper , I had drawn up some modifications to it when I had it on the 04. So I think I may want to go a bit further with them and see how it turns out before moving on to a full bumper . Not sure yet. You know so many things I wanted to try on the 04 but had taken it a bit beyond where this one is currently, so relooking at all of my old ideas etc |

Added some cheap mall crawling tires, ( have another set of Goodyear MTRs for off road now ) But with this JBA Total Control lift in place the ride on this one is so good. Have the shocks all dialed in now the way I like them. Speed bumps are a thing of the past, cruise right on over them LOL But 265-70-16s on Moabs , good enough for now Little more muddification to the front bumper and then almost done with it, rear is getting one of my bumpers ![]() ![]() ![]()

looks great, Tom! you're the reason I ended up going with the JBA lift/components that I did on my Liberty. thanks for the guidance you gave me on the set-up. even though I own a new wrangler now (willys wheeler unlimited) I still spend seat time in my Liberty! over 205,000 miles and counting! |
