You can see the CPS location clearly in this picture, the item plugs into the side of the block with the wire connected to it:

My 2006 kj limited starts and runs well but will only go for 10 mins then stalls.its an auto 2.8crd. I have replaced the fuel pump and eliminated the air in fuel problem.I have cleared the PO1083 error and the engine light has cleared,. It still isnt happy.Whats next?.a new computer. Has anyone had this issue. |

Try a crankshaft position sensor first |

Is that the one on side of the transmission or the one on the bottom front of the engine block? |

FYI that picture is with the heat reflective shield removed. |
