I got over this with the help of the NMT offroad club.

I was locked and lifted, but I still had the stock tires then. I went the other way over this completly stock.

http://www.thechucklesstart.com/car/ChucksJeepS.avi

The first one is 2639 KB and the second is 1209 KB. They are the same movie though.

Also, if you don't have a Divx or Xvid codec, you can download this for windows media player:
http://www.thechucklesstart.com/car/ChucksJeep.wmv

This one is about 2030 KB.

I posted this a long time ago, but no one could download the movie, now it is on my own server that should be faster.

With unzip-5.50 on RHEL3:

Code:
72 [jeffs@theseus ~/download]> unzip ChucksJeep.zip
Archive:  ChucksJeep.zip
   skipping: Chuck's Jeep.avi        unsupported compression method 12

With unzip-5.52 on Gentoo:
Code:
[jeff@djali ~]$ unzip ChucksJeep.zip
Archive:  ChucksJeep.zip
   skipping: Chuck's Jeep.avi        `(null)' method not supported

Just out of curiosity, why is it zipped? AVIs are already compressed, I bet zipping it makes it bigger, with overhead. It makes about as much sense as zipping an mp3...

I actually saved about a half a megebyte on there size by zipping them. I guess I will put them up in an unzipped format since apparently 7zip doesn't like the zip standard.

I was able to get audio, but no video. They did download faster - on my cable connection the first one was about five seconds.

Do you have divx or xvid installed on your computer?

I encoded it with one of those.

Divx is here: http://www.divx.com/
just get the play and skip the step where they ask you to join there mailing list
Here is another place the offers divx's free download, but doesn't ask for you to sign up on a mailing list
http://free-codecs.com/download/DivX6.htm

Xvid is here:
http://free-codecs.com/download/XviD_Media_Codec.htm

if you don't have one of those installed on your computer you will just here audio and get no video.

This one should work if you don't want to download any codecs.

Great video! (the divx copy works fine in mplayer)

Did you hang up on the spare tire towards the end of that drop? It looked pretty steep

That was sick! Were those guys holding the rear of your truck down at one point?

Glad you had the tow-hook on the back. Probably saved a bit of plastic damage there. Sweet vid! Thanks for sharing!

The spare was bouncing around in my back (I took it off before hand thinking I would hit it). The only reason why my bumper wasn't removed was because there is a nice tow hook that I road down.

Yeah, people where holding onto my jeep to try to keep it from rolling.
