OK, so i FINALLY got around to getting my Basslink installed, took two days, and a lot of cuts and burns and scrapes etc. but here's the result! 
Just a little something so you know that this aint no sissy system (hehe, that rhymes) 
Mounting of the Remote Boost box 
The CDA-9856 that provides the signal 
The Basslink in the "trunk" 
The ground connection 
And finally, the fuse box and under-hood wiring. Let me know what you guys think. All comments are welcome. |

well i can say it looks vary nice.how dose it sound? i have been trying to come up with some way to keep space and run woofers too. i have been think of useing the space under the back seat to put a woofer or two there. one question why didn't you run your wires along the door rails insted of on the floor? i hope you don't have passengers vary often. i have done many installs and have ran wires once this way and will not do it agian.they will be riped up before you know it  . it looks ok but not a great idea. trust me save you self the hasle and take the time and hide them under the trim. no one will rip them up and it looks really clean...

Im sure when you say two days, your including the three hours you spent fixing my stereo system after you completly KILLED IT. haha no harm done, except my stereo dosnet need keys to turn on, but hey, thats kinda cool. |

It sounds awesome actually, i'm really impressed, it's nice and clean and the bass hits pretty hard. I kinda like what i did with the wires, mostly it's just me and a friend or two, so they shouldn't really be an issue. If it starts to become a problem, i can just run them under the carpet in the same place... As for RipTide's sereo, he kinda forgot to mention that it was in his Mustang (TRAITOR!!!) and for some reason, it was connected to this little tracer (LED thingy on the steering column) for some reason, so when we tried to cut it out, the sereo stopped working. But i got it all worked out now. |

savage, did you have to drill the sub into the floorboard or something? how exactly does it stay put? I'm interested in getting one. Also, is that a Basslink I or II? |

It's a Basslink II, I don't really have any problems with it tipping, but it does slide fore and aft pretty easily, I think what i'll end up doing is making a plywood base to secure it to and then just covering it with some black carpet. |

cool, i got the basslink I a few minutes ago. Where is that ground connection of yours? I can't tell from the picture. I'm psyched to get this thing installed. |

just behind the driver's side rear seat, just pull up the upholstry a little bit, it's only velco'd to the rear seat... |

one last thing, where'd in the firewall did you run the power cable? i can only find a really stuffed hole that i cant even reach |

ok, look to your left and down of that really stuffed hole (from the inside) or to the right and down of that hole (that's the wiring harness BTW) if you're in the engine comprtment, and you'll see a small oval opening, about 3/4" by 1 1/4" that has a plug clipped into it, from the inside, you can just pry it out with a flat-blade screwdriver, and from the engine side, it's a little tougher, but you might be able to push it through, but it's hard to get your limbs in there....trust me...lol I'll try to get a picture for you in a little bit... |

oh well, i got impatient. After about 4 hours of careful precision placement of stuff, I got her all installed. I drilled a hole about 1/2 inch to the right of the gas pedal plug in the firewall. The power cable (8 guage SCHOSCHE kit) just barely fits through it, which is good, but I still put some liquid nails silicon sealant around it. Anyways, I've got the BassLink mounted vertically just behind the back left. I ran the cables along the sides under the panels, so it looks completely professional. As for the control remote, I wanted to velcro it right by where you had it, but it just wouldn't stick, so I drilled holes in the left side of the driver's seat frame and mounted it there, then put caps on the end of the screws to keep from stabbing myself when cleaning out my car. Overall I'm quite impressed with this sub system. It hits really hard and smooth, but doesn't disturb neighbors or anything. MOF, I can barely hear it when I'm outside of the car, but once I get in, it's like I've arrived at the movie theater or something. Oh yeah, and Savage, does your Servo light ever come on when the bass hits hard? The tuning instructions say that it should, but I've never managed too, even when it was uncomfortably intense. I'll get some pics up later in a new thread for others to see. |

Really? Yeah mine comes on occasionally, but i guess you just don't have your bass gain turned up as much, plus mine is powering my factory speakers as well, so that probably doesn't help, i can easily get it to the point where you can see the rearview mirror shaking (center one). |
