My neighbors recently acquired a FJ Cruiser from a relative who actually won it from FootJoy. They had it parked on the curb one afternoon so I thought I'd do a little picture comparison of the 2... ![]() ![]() |

Nice pics! I know the whole KJ vs FJ has been thrashed to death on the forum but I personally think the KJ looks better! Especially from the front (not to mention I like the newer Renegade front even more!) ![]() Almost the same height... Pictures look like you may even have more clearance (granted you have a lift kit and they likely don't...) Thanks for the comparison! |

The way the photos have the trucks next to eachother and then facing eachother, I half-expect to see them holding hands and skipping through a field or something...awwww |

![]() No bubble bursting here... what i meant to say was that I like the look of yours better than the FJ.... AND I like the look of mine (06 Renny) better than yours! ![]() ![]() which in my demented math means i like mine twice as much as the FJ... ![]() |

One of the style items I like about the FJ is that the grille looks like it came off an old Land Cruiser, and now that I see that side-on image it looks like it the front and rear doors open from the same place so the rear doors are going to swing back (what they used to call 'Opera doors'). I may just hav eto go by a lot this weekend and take a look to make sure on that - not that I'm trading my KJ! No, not goona happen! |

My local Toyota dealership got one in last Friday. I went, I saw, I didn't like it. It's an ugly monstrosity in person. Much nicer in pictures. Only in a Jeep. |

dirty kj, ![]() I think the FJ's are pretty neat looking (aside from the giant blind spot). I want to see one out wheeling in real life. RockyMnEditionKJ, get to work on getting them out! |

Is there any design reason for that giant blind spot? From the Toyota website, it looks like all that's behind it is the rear seat belt anchor points. |

I hate blind spots. I rely a lot on turning my head and looking instead of relying soley on those mirrors. I like the FJ's look overall though. |

RockyMnEditionKJ, get to work on getting them out! this past weekend we had one out wheeling with us and it did very well we had 1 FJ 1 H3 and 1 KJ they were all stock and the FJ and H3 did well and to my knowlage took no by passes where the KJ did not even run 1 of the trails does that make them better i dont know could they follow a TJ ,no but if we can get a '07 FJ out on the trails with us i cant under stand why we cant get any more than 1 or 2 KJ's to wheel with us |

Drivers Ed By-passing is not a vehicle fault. It comes down to the driver. You decide if you will do a hard trail/section or by-pass it. Not the vehicle. The question is this: Could the KJ do the trail with the FJ and H3, with a more agressive driver? |

I dont think a stock Kj would be able to follow a H3 or a FJ up the same trails, it just doesn't have the ground clearance that they do. Now a lifted KJ is a whole other story ![]() |
