What was the trophy for? Cleanest and with fewest scratches? Most chrome in an engine? Biggest lift? Most under-the-hood stickers?

Did Al have one of those funky KJ's that didn't come with roof rails or did he take them off then add the Hi-Lift brackets?

Didn't any of you crawl over the cars? Why did they use tires like rocks to assist with approach and departure? Those big boys didn't need them.....or did they?

none of us tried, but the ruts caused by the big boys were pretty deep, they looked 2 feet deep . most everybody was smacking there diff's pretty hard getting up on it and the had big lifts and tires, and most sprung jeeps were hanging up on everything. i think if jeepinal didnt have a long drive home he would have done it, i saw him lookin pretty hard
