Hi all, My uncle is one of the best machineists that i know of. And him and I are building a custom winch bumper for my KJ, but i don't want to have to replace the front bumper like you do with the ARB bull bar bumpers. Instead i want to attach it to the mounts where the tow hooks are attached to. I'll lose my tow hooks, but with a winch that shouldn't be a problem. Now my concern with that is that the hooks are not attached to the frame but instead the sub-frame or i'm guessing a part of the front bumper which is then attached to the frame. What i don't want to do is tear off my front bumper while attempting to use my which. Does anyone know what these tow hooks are rated for, and if not has anyone had experience pulling there jeep out "with a good amount of force" by these tow hooks? Basically i need to know if they can handle a winch or not. Thanks Andrew drewb8s@yahoo.com |
