Here is the FTC's Info on Understanding the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

Good reading if you find yourself wondering how that lift, or other mod will affect your warranty coverage. BTW, This also applys to the Oils and lubes you use And extended service intervals.

I know this is going to be asked, so I might as well ask it:

So you are saying that if I need to keep up Schedule B maintainence which is oil change every 3k miles, if I used Amsoil, I could go with their longer intervals, and NOT mess up the powertrain warrenty that states I need to follow the schedule B?

I was told when I purchased the Jeep that for the 7/70k warrenty to not be voided, I must follow the schedule B maintainance.

does this law apply to an extended service plan? the dealership i bought my used jeep from offered the bumper to bumper esp, but they get uptight everytime i refer to it as a "warranty".

Not sure. It probably depends on how it is written and by whom. I have heard that most aftermarket "service plans/warranties" are not covered by the Magnusson-Moss act as they are Not a MFG warranty.
