I have a 2002 liberty with a 45RFE tranny. when I shift from park to Reverse or Drive or back and forth there is a buzz noise that last for 3 seconds or so. While driving it shifts smoothly and no noises. Only when I shift between Drive and Reverse or Park. Anybody have this same mistery noise. Is my tranny ready to go? Any help is much appreciated.

Completely normal,just the shift solnoids.If the sound stops then you have a problem.

Had manuals so long I dont remember ever having a automatic that did that. Guess its the all electronic controlled stuff. Could it possibly mean they are wearing out? Thanks

Just all the computer controlled CRAP doing their thing, just keep driving it
